Dutch pianist Ineke Hellingman is recognized for her versatility, depth, and commitment to both established and lesser-known repertoire. She was admitted early on to the Young Talent Department of the Music School of Amsterdam, making her orchestral debut at just twelve. After completing her pre-conservatory training she studied with Marjes Benoist before pursuing her Master of Music at the Ecole normale de musique Cortot in Paris under the renowned French pianist and conductor Jean-Bernard Pommier.
Ineke has performed extensively across the Netherlands, with highlights including her debut in the Grote Zaal of De Doelen with Mendelssohn’s First Piano Concerto, and appearances in the Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, and Hermitage Amsterdam. Her international performances have taken her to Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and Austria, with broadcasts on NPO Radio 4, WDR Klassik, DRS Zurich, Mezzo and Cultura24. She has appeared as soloist with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sofia Philharmonic, becoming the first Dutch pianist to ever do so.
An avid chamber musician, Ineke collaborates regularly with eminent musicians such as Liviu Prunaru, Boris Baraz, and various members of the Concertgebouw orchestra. Her artistry is also shaped by masterclasses with pianists including Håkon Austbø, Tatiana Zelikman, Kathryn Stott, Valentina Lisitsa, Igor Roma, and Yundi Li, as well as studies in historically informed performance with Bart van Oort and Richard Egarr, and contemporary repertoire with Ralph van Raat.
